!The Cutest Little Tap Dancer!

June 13, 2009
Recital Time!
Kylie has been taking dance at Devney's Dance Academy for 10 months. She is in a 3-4 yr old combo class where she gets to learn both tap and ballet. She has made some new friends and really enjoys herself.
I am very proud of her and love to watch her dance.
The bunches of pictures are proof.
Here is Kylie in her dance costume.
They danced to "Put on a Happy Face", it was so cute.

Lots and lots of hairspray!

Driving to the recital.

She hasn't even danced yet and she's already tired.
She woke up immediately as we arrived at the school where she was performing.

I didn't get a good picture during her individual class performance but I snapped this one during the finale.

Thanks to all who were able to come and support Kylie!

Kylie and Papa Dave

Always a challenge to get these two together to take a picture.

Friends Forever!

June 5, 2009
Thanks to Nicole, I was able to get together with my old highschool friends. It is always so much fun to reminesce about old times, and chat about our families and future. We are hoping to make this a tradition to get together about every three months or so. Hopefully, we stick to it.

Jacey was in the mood to be in front of the camera, so I took advantage and clicked this super cute pic of her.

Memorial Day Weekend

May 25, 2009
Happy Memorial Day!!
Today, to celebrate, we went over to Brad's house with the rest of the Smith gang for a day of swimming and food.
The girls enjoyed both!

YUMMMY!! WATERMELON!!!

Jacey was head to toe covered in watermelon juice. Nothing like the pool for a bath.

May 23, 2009
On Saturday, we traveled down to Maricopa to enjoy my Dad's new pool!! We were all so excited to try out the new slide and play on the two bahama steps. The water was a little chilly but it was hot outside, so it didn't keep anyone from enjoying the water.

Kylie just helping keep an eye out on Jacey.

Yeah Kylie! She is becoming an excellent swimmer.
Enjoying the sun!

Here is Kylie getting ready to go down the slide. She was the first grandkid to go down the slide all by herself. She had her boogie board to help keep her up once she hit the water.

The slide is quite the adventure for these little kids. I even got a thrill going down myself.

Just like old times.
Papa Kurt gave all the kids rides all around their backyard.
I remember my grandpa wheeling us around on wheel barrow rides.

Just Lounging

April 29, 2009
I just thought this picture was so cute. Jacey just hanging out and relaxing, watching a little TV. She has assumed the position of her father. She thinks it is so funny to steal his spot on the couch. She does a pretty good impression of him. :)

Bath Time

Being new to blogging, I'm not quite sure if this is an appropriate picture but I decided to post it anyways.
April 29, 2009
Jacey has decided that her climbing adventures will now include bath time. She thinks it is hilarious to climb upon the little soap shelf. I'm am so afraid she will slip and fall and crack her head open. But there is no fear in that little girl. Just curiosity. She thinks she is so clever.
I just have to laugh sometimes at the new things she will try.
Never a dull moment with our little Jacey.

Grandpa Howard's 80th

April 25, 2009
Happy Birthday Grandpa Howard!
This weekend was very special. I was able to head up to Utah with my dad and sister Meagan (the kids and husbands stayed home) to celebrate my grandpa's birthday. It was a special time. We all shared our many happy and spiritual and uplifting memories of our grandpa. I shed a few tears of joy for the love that my grandpa has for his kids and grandkids. I was so excited to see all our family that we so rarely get the chance to visit. Most everybody was able to make the event.
Thanks to all who put so much time and effort into getting us all together, so we could share such a wonderful time.

Just Me and the Dogs

April 18, 2009
Once again, we have a picture of Jacey just hanging out with Bailey.
Like I said before, her favorite thing is to be outside and she could care less about the weather or dirt or anything.
She just loves her puppies and the sun.

Just a super cute pic of my baby girl,
We love you, Jacey!

Easter Sunday

April 12, 2009
Easter Sunday

Kylie and Jacey with their Easter baskets.
Jacey is always so happy when she can get the same thing as her big sis.
The Easter Bunny spoiled the girls.
The Easter Bunny also hid a few eggs around the house for Kylie and Jacey to find.
Below is pictures of them looking for their eggs then finding the money inside.
Woohoo, what a treat!

In our Easter Dresses.
Kylie - 4 years

Jacey - 14 months

I can never get them together anymore.
Thanks for trying, Kylie.

Mom and the Girls

Daddy and the Girls

After church, we had our annual Easter celebration in our backyard.
A little food and a big Easter Egg Hunt.
Thanks to Scott, our backyard is always perfect for this fun event.
Here the kids are waiting to be released to search for their eggs.
Grandma Suzie had them singing songs to keep them distracted, it worked great.
Then the hunt was on. Each child got to find eggs filled with candy plus a chocolate easter bunny.
Fun stuff.

Grandma Mary and Jacey

Jacey pretty much got the gist of the hunt. She especially loved the candy inside.

Kylie, of course, was running all around finding as many as she could. She is a little competive.

Jacey and her filled basket

Kylie sorting out the goods.

It was a fun memorable Easter, once again!

Easter Celebration in Maricopa

April 10, 2009
Our Easter extravaganza started off with a bang as we traveled down to Grandpa Kurt and Grandma Mary's house for a full day of fun.

The kids start off with a easter basket hunt, that Grandma and Grandpa have made for each of them. Kylie was happy to help Jacey locate hers. Candy and little toys filled each basket. Kylie even got a fun princess puzzle.

Then they got to dye easter eggs.

We have started a new tradition, an annual Easter Egg Race. The kids loved it. There were a few, to say the least, mishaps. Hudson went to chase his and accidentaly stepped on it. Karsten kept throwing instead of rolling his egg. Kylie and Brecken followed all the rules but still ended up with less eggs than they started with.
Lots of Laughs.

Waiting to start the Egg Hunt.

On your mark, Get Set, ........

GO!!!!!

Kylie found tons of eggs. We lost track of how many, but she came home with a load of candy.

Baseball Game!
Uncle Tom and Grandpa Kurt helped the kids take turns batting.
Kylie surprised me at how well she could hit the ball. Yeah!
Just Relaxing.

Playing in Grandpa and Grandma's unfinished pool.
We can't wait for it to be done. We just wished we lived a little closer.

All in all, it was a successful day of fun!
